We are an international designer collective, originally established in 2002 by Onaga Genzō, based out of the Netherlands.

With over 20 years of experience, and a shared interest in the geometric roots of ancient design patterns, we have been driven to preserve traditional design methods from a variety of cultures.

Present Day

In 2019 we began posting tutorials on social media, with regard to the ancient art of Japanese family crests, called “kamon” or “monshō”, in an attempt to develop geometric standards for centuries old patterns.

Unfortunately, posting on social media proved to have its limitations, and to answer the calls of those interested in learning the art of mon design, we have built this website as a means for people to download our easy to follow step-by-step tutorials.

Please note that we are creating these tutorials in our spare time, and although we attempt to aim for traditional accuracy, due to subjective design of certain patterns, we may sometimes choose a more geometric approach.

We will never charge for our tutorials, but any donations are much appreciated.
